Softwood Decor

Softwoods are absolutely beautiful when stained, they are also some of the most affordable woods on the market today, these are some of the reasons we utilize softwoods in some of our products.  However, the nature of softwoods open grains do not lend themselves to the outdoor elements with some exceptions like Cedar. As such, If you plan on using Pine pr other softwoods outdoors, be sure to coat it with at least two coats of Spar urethane before exposing it to the elements, and be sure to reapply two coats every couple years to keep it protected and looking its best.
